If you require immediate first aid and are on a UTS campus:
- Call UTS Security, dial 6 from any internal phone, or 1800 249 559 from mobile phones (everyone who has a mobile phone on campus should add this number to their contacts). All UTS security officers are first aid trained
- Visit UTS Health Service on level 6, (CB01.06.01), Tower (Building 1), Broadway campus.

Location of automated external defibrillators
Automated external defibrillators (AEDs) are kept at selected locations across all UTS precincts. Staff and students should familiarise themselves with their location and the AED in their area and building. In the instance of a victim needing resuscitation, it is important to attach the AED to the victim without delay and allow the AED to analyse the need to deliver a shock. Every minute counts for survival.
UTS first aid trained personal are trained to assist in the resuscitation of staff, students, contractors and visitors as necessary. In the absence of trained personnel a witness of an unconscious collapse should call out for assistance to contact UTS security and attach an AED to the victim without delay.
To operate the AED, open the lid and push it back until it locks and follow the voice and text prompts.
In the event you suspect someone on campus having (or about to have) a myocardial infarction (heart attack), dial 6 from any internal phone, or 1800 249 559 from mobile phones, for Security.
