• Opportunities for academics

  WUN Research Development Fund (WUN RDF) - provides grants of up to £10,000 (AUD$18,900) for one year to foster research collaborations among academic staff at WUN member universities. 

  The WUN RDF supports collaborative research that addresses the overarching theme of sustainable development, including in the following areas:

  • Social justice, human rights, inequality
  • Sustainable world: cities and urbanisation, energy transitions, water and food security
  • Mental health, child and maternal health, ageing
  • Responsible and ethical applications of Artificial Intelligence

  Access to WUN Hub - a database that enables researchers at WUN member universities to find and connect with WUN colleagues and WUN-supported research projects. The 2025 series of Early Career Researcher training webinars in underway. You can explore the upcoming sessions and register for the events. The sessions are facilitated by the Researcher Development and Research Culture team at the University of Leeds. All early career researchers from WUN or ARUA members universities are welcome to attend.

• Opportunities for academics

  UTS Key Technology Partnerships Visiting Fellow Program - UTS provides up to AUD$10,000 for UTS academics to invite their counterparts from eligible Key Technology Partner institutions to travel to Sydney (two to four-week visits) and collaborate on projects of mutual interest. 

  Please note this program provides funding for inbound travel. 

  UTS Key Technology Partnerships Seed Funding Scheme - UTS provides up to AUD$10,000 to support collaborative projects between UTS staff and their counterparts from eligible Key Technology Partner institutions, in categories other than travel.

  Programs offered by our Key Technology Partners - our partners provide funding for UTS academics to visit their campus.

• Opportunities for students

  UTS Collaborative doctoral research degrees - gain access to world-leading research supervision and facilities in two institutions.

  Student Exchange – study for one or two semesters at a UTS partner universities overseas.
