Study Games Development at UTS

Turn your passion for games into a career with the UTS Bachelor of Games Development. Build hands-on skills in game design, programming and industry-standard game engines while creating games through practical, team-based projects.

Develop the technical, creative and problem-solving skills sought across both the games and broader IT industries. Graduate ready for careers in games development, software engineering, game design, production and more.

This degree can be studied in two ways: the standard program - Bachelor of Games Development, or through the UTS Industry Degree Academy (IDeA) which has a different application process.

What's the difference?

The standard program includes all the same subjects and learning, but follows a traditional university study path.

The IDeA program combines your university study with real industry experience through a cadetship. This means you’ll study and work at the same time, gaining practical experience while you complete your degree.

No matter the path you choose, you’ll build a professional portfolio, work towards industry certifications, and develop real workplace skills before you graduate. In some cases, your workplace learning can also count towards your degree.

As an Australian student, you have the chance to apply for a Commonwealth Supported Place for this course. Find out if you meet the criteria and learn the steps to apply.
