We work with government agencies, local councils and corporations to facilitate the organisational change needed to incorporate sustainability into their planning and operations.
This often involves community engagement and collaborative planning as well as case study research. Engaging staff and stakeholders is also an important part of the process. We examine the drivers and barriers organisations face when integrating sustainability and we help them develop useful sustainability indicators.
The NSW Local Government Sustainability Health Check, an assessment and review tool that uses strategic questioning to strengthen council systems, practices and processes is one tool we are familiar with. The Global Reporting Initiative framework can also be used to help organisaitons define what sustainability means for them so they can draft relevant policies and strategies. We can footprint the direct and indirect greenhouse gas emissions associated with an organisation’s operations and identify opportunities to reduce or offset emissions.
