Every year in Australia, a significant number of people are affected by a cancer diagnosis. Our research contributes to improving the quality of life of people living with cancer. Your donation will help us to identify accessible, affordable medicines and therapies for people with cancer.

Lady and her husband sitting on a couch side by side smiling at each other. The lad is wearing a long sleeved black top with a red pattern on the front. She has lost her hair due to cancer treatment. The main is wearing a striped button up shirt. He has grey hair and glasses.

Who will benefit?

Cancer affects people from all walks of life. All Australians impacted by cancer may benefit from our research.

Finding solutions to better manage cancer symptoms will improve the quality of life and wellbeing of people living with cancer, as well as their families.

Your donation will help us to run clinical trials that research options for improved management of symptoms using medicines and other interventions.

How do I donate?

You can donate to Cancer Symptom Trials through the UTS Giving site.

One hundred per cent of your donation will go directly to Cancer Symptom Trials to support our research. Your donation will be accepted by the University Foundation on our behalf and directed in full to us. All administrative fees are covered by the university.

Can I leave a bequest?

The University of Technology Sydney (UTS) welcomes enquiries to discuss options for bequest giving, including ways to honour someone's memory. Find out more about leaving a bequest through the UTS Giving Leave a Bequest site page.

How will my donation be managed?

UTS is a registered charity with the Australian Charities and Not-for-Profit Commission. We have certified Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) status, with all gifts of $2.00 or more being tax deductible for Australian tax payers.

The UTS Advancement Unit manages the finances of the University Foundation. The Advancement Unit is responsible for overseeing the recording, receiving and acknowledgement of all philanthropic donations, monitoring use of funds in line with donors' wishes, and ensuring fund disbursement to relevant areas of the university.

Acknowledgement of Country

UTS acknowledges the Gadigal People of the Eora Nation and the Boorooberongal People of the Dharug Nation upon whose ancestral lands our campuses now stand.
