UTS International is the executive unit of the university that oversees international matters. The office is within the division of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Vice-President (International).
The primary function of UTS International is to support and implement the UTS International Strategy and its broader mission of internationalisation, including the recruitment of international students, promoting student mobility, facilitating international relationship-building and providing services to the university as a whole.
UTS International is structured around three areas:
- International Recruitment
- International Partnerships
- International Policy and Communications
Through these areas UTS International is responsible for:
International Recruitment
Overall admissions and recruitment strategies to manage the recruitment of international students to UTS, including:
- monitoring and reviewing admission systems and procedures
- developing, implementing and reviewing international recruitment strategies
- relationship management of student recruitment agents, overseas government agencies (education ministries) and sponsoring bodies
- registration of courses for international students
- transnational courses
International Mobility and Services
- Student Exchange and Study Abroad programs (students inbound and outbound), and support, including partner relationship management
- support services to currently enrolled international students
- US Financial Aid program administration
- Beyond UTS International Leadership Development (BUiLD) program
International Policy and Communications
- Management of the overall governance and policy infrastructure that supports:
- international network of student recruitment agents
- international partnerships, MOUs and agreements
- international visitors
International Communications and Research
- managing the global promotion of UTS to all our international audiences
- compiling and reporting on international student data, including UTS data
- benchmarking data and reporting requirements for various external organisations
Compliance and Quality
- ESOS and regulatory compliance (National Code, Sanctions, Simplified Student Visa Framework (SSVF))
- Compliance risk management and audits
- Development of policy and support systems, and procedures for international recruitment and services, including training programs
