Students will be matched with a startup based in one of the following communities. These communities are made up of startups developing their business out of a co-working space, usually surrounded by other startups.
Coca-Cola Amatil are one of the largest bottlers and distributors of non-alcoholic and alcoholic ready-to-drink beverages in the Asia Pacific, and one of the world’s larger bottlers of The Coca-Cola Company range. With around 14,000 employees working in Australia, Indonesia, New Zealand, Fiji, Papua New Guinea and Samoa, Amatil work with customers, innovate and deliver great new products, manage complex supply chains and contribute to the community.
Coca Cola Amatil recently launched Amatil X, a platform for emerging possibilities to power growth beyond the company's core business. The program supports development of concepts, startups and early stage businesses that anticipate and address customer needs.
Fishburners is a not-for-profit dedicated to creating highly scalable Australian tech startups, through inspiration, collection and connection to support. Since its inception in 2011, Fishburners has become Australia’s largest community of highly scalable tech startups, Australia’s largest host of startup-focused events, Australia’s largest funnel for new startups, and the largest non-profit in Australia dedicated to supporting startups.
Cicada Innovations is Australia’s home of deep tech startups. They partner with visionary technical founders to provide them with business support from ideation all the way through to scale up phase, leveraging the talent and capabilities of our shareholder universities. To put it simply, they support carefully selected deep tech founders to achieve their business goals faster and smarter. Cicada Innovations' community of over 70 startups from across all industry verticals (medtech, agrifood tech, big data, AI and more) reside campus style in their incubator.
EnergyLab is Australia's leading platform for clean energy innovation. They run a national acceleration program that provides participants with $50,000 in seed capital, mentoring from industry leaders, legal and accounting advice, business masterclasses, 12 months free rent in a coworking space, and other support. EnergyLab also offers a number of other programs to help people come up with clean energy startup ideas, find co-founders, and grow their business.
UTS Startups has been created to engage, inspire and connect startups across the University of Technology Sydney. It is a founder-focused community, allowing students to see the opportunity in startups and begin their journey when it's right for them. It’s about creating the environment where UTS Startups are exposed to what they need to progress, both inside and outside the university. This community is one of the places that students can get matched through the intern with a startup community or where students will be placed if they apply to the build a startup pathway.
