UTS 8th in Australia in global universities ranking

The outstanding result was underpinned by improvements in both research and teaching reputation, with measures across both indicators increasing 10 per cent from the previous year.  

UTS ranked 2nd in Australia and 54th in the world on research quality – reflecting the excellence and impact of UTS’s research.  

It also improved scores across the teaching, research environment and industry pillars. 

Vice-Chancellor and President Professor Andrew Parfitt said the continuing strong performance in the ranking reflected the hard work of academics and professional staff during a time of change. 

“This is an important achievement for UTS and a strong endorsement of the quality and impact of our teaching, research and industry engagement," he said.

"It reflects the sustained contribution of our staff and reinforces UTS’s standing among Australia’s leading universities."
