This year, ISF provided crucial knowledge and skills to international and Australian professionals, empowering them to apply the latest sustainability thinking in their own contexts. And we continued to nurture and develop emerging sustainability leaders with our Graduate Research Program, which offers students a unique transdisciplinary perspective on their research topics.
Program highlights
Evaluation Course for the Cambodian Ministry of Economy and Finance
Following the success of 2024’s pilot, ISF researchers developed and delivered a bespoke learning experience for a delegation of 20 mid-to-senior-level officials from the Cambodian Ministry of Economy and Finance. Through a series of workshops, participants learned to design and implement effective monitoring and evaluation frameworks and to use evaluation findings to support decision-making. The course was tailored so that participants felt empowered to utilise their new skills to support Cambodia’s current Public Financial reform.
Systems Thinking and Practice for Sustainable Futures
ISF’s flagship short course is designed give participants a clear understanding of the theory behind systems thinking – an increasingly popular decision-making technique for addressing complex challenges – and to demonstrate how it could be applied in practical work and life situations. The online course featured weekly live sessions, opportunities for participants to connect and discuss, and video testimonials from international systems experts who’ve used the technique effectively in their own work.
