The 2026 National Student Safety Survey (NSSS) is being conducted across Australian universities by independent research organisation Roy Morgan on behalf of Universities Australia. It captures students’ perceptions and experiences of sexual violence and harm and provides updated data to help inform prevention efforts, strengthen support services and drive continued action across the sector.
This is an important opportunity for you to be heard.
The survey gives students a voice and helps build a clearer understanding of student experiences across Australian universities. This evidence supports meaningful action to improve prevention, strengthen support and contribute to safer campuses for everyone.
Student feedback has helped shape the actions UTS has taken to prevent harmful behaviour, respond to student needs and strengthen our culture of respect, safety and care.

We recognise that some topics covered in the survey may feel sensitive or distressing. If you choose to take part, please prioritise your wellbeing and access support if you need it.
You do not need to make a formal report to access support.
