What's on at UTS

There’s always something happening at UTS. Join us for open days, exhibitions, research talks and student-life events that bring innovation, creativity and connection to life on campus.

2 March

Architecture, Technology and the changing home

Design storyteller Tim Ross, author of the Modernister series, joins Professor Anthony Burke, host of Grand Designs Australia, to explore how architecture, technology and culture are reshaping Australian life and the homes we call our own. Bring your questions!

9 -12 March

UTS is the home of climate conversations this March, with Climate Action Week Sydney returning from 9-12 March. With a week packed full of panels, workshops and evening events, there’s something for everyone.

20 February - 13 March

A bold exhibition reimagining how law can advance gender equality. Artists from across Australia respond to Rewriting the Rules through canvas, ceramic, collage and film, tracing women’s worlds of work, home, violence, freedom and the virtual sphere, and challenging how we define equality.

6 March

On International Women’s Day we spotlight young women reshaping policy, institutions and communities. Hear Hannah Ferguson, Satara Uthayakumaran, Vivian Pham, Anjali Sharma and moderator Angelica Ojinnaka-Psillakis share how they navigate barriers and lead youth-led change, in person or online.

11-12 March

This two-day research symposium runs alongside the exhibition No place for Mannequins: Remaking the fashion archive at UTS Gallery, Gadigal Nura/Sydney. It explores the archive as a dynamic, contested field, examining how scholars, curators and practitioners remake and reimagine fashion archives across material, digital and social forms.
