If you want to study at UTS for one or two semesters, you can choose between a Study Abroad or Exchange program.

Study Abroad

Study Abroad is open to all students from recognised universities and colleges worldwide. It is also open to students who have completed high school (diplomas from many countries accepted).

Whether you'd like to enrol in standard full-time studies or prefer a lighter study load, you can choose from two Study Abroad options at UTS. Students can apply to UTS directly, through a UTS Study Abroad partner insitution (if applicable), or a UTS student recruiment agent. 

Study abroad (24 credit points)

  • Enrol in standard full-time studies (24 credit points per teaching session).
  • Receive credit at UTS for one or two teaching sessions with the approval of your home institution. 
  • Discuss your study plan with your home university academic adviser (if for academic credit) and our team will be happy to assist you with the subject approval process. 
  • The 2027 UTS Study Abroad porgram (24 credit points) tuition fee is A$11,790 per session (A$491.25 per credit point).

Study abroad (18 credit points)

  • Enrol in a reduced study load (18 credit points per teaching session).
  • A great option if you want more flexibility to explore Sydney and Australia while studying.
  • The 2027 UTS Study Abroad porgram (18 credit points) tuition fee is A$8,842.50 per session (A$491.25 per credit point).

Exchange

Exchange is open to students who are currently studying at a UTS Exchange partner institution. If you are a student at a UTS Exchange partner institution, please contact your home institution to express your interest.

If you do exchange at UTS, you will:

  • Enrol in full-time studies (18-24 credit points per teaching session) and receive credit at UTS for one or two teaching sessions with the approval of your home institution.
  • Discuss your study plan with your home university academic adviser and our team will be happy to assist you with the subject approval process.
  • Once your exchange has been approved by your home institution, they will submit your details to us on your behalf.
  • You are not required to pay tuition fees to UTS, but may still pay regular fees at your home university.
