The Fashion Studio provides a dedicated workspace for Bachelor of Design in Fashion and Textiles students working over a range of specialist areas in women’s and men’s wear such as couture, ready-to-wear, swimwear and sportswear.
The facility includes two studios for flat patternmaking, cutting and construction including specially designed mannequins for drape; as well as a sewing workshop with specialised industrial sewing machines and equipment for a range of fabrications such as stretch, wovens, naturals and synthetics.
The Textiles Workshop provides a spacious, comprehensively equipped and up-to-date facility. Through a range of processes such as silkscreen, transfer and sublimation printing and fabric dying, students can experiment with a range of image making techniques such as photographic, hand-drawn and half-tone printing.
In addition to the workshop area, the facility includes a presentation space, dry room and breakout studio space where students can design and create.
