Discover how engineers design the technologies that power modern life. From intelligent robots and renewable energy systems to life-changing medical devices, this session explores how these disciplines are connected through innovation, dynamics and problem-solving.
Learn what makes each field unique and how hands-on learning at UTS helps students graduate ready to make an impact. You'll also hear about how our Electrical and Electronic, Mechanical and Mechatronic and Biomedical Engineering degrees work.
Civil, Environmental & Chemical Process Engineering Info Session
- Building 11, Level 00
- 9:00am and 11:00am
Want to help build more sustainable cities, cleaner energy systems or resilient infrastructure?
This session showcases how engineers are tackling some of the world's biggest challenges, from designing bridges and transport networks to reducing emissions and creating sustainable industrial processes.
You'll gain insight into where our Civil and Environmental Engineering and Chemical Process degrees can take you and the real-world problems you'll help solve.
3. Find your perfect engineering major
Find your fit: Choosing your Engineering Major at UTS Info Session
- Building 11, Level 00
- 10:15am and 1:00pm
One of the biggest questions future students ask is: Which engineering major is right for me?
If you're still deciding, this session is a must! You'll learn about the different engineering disciplines available at UTS, the types of careers they lead to and how to choose a pathway that aligns with your interests and strengths.
Whether you're interested in sustainability, healthcare, infrastructure, robotics or emerging technologies, you'll leave with a clearer picture of where your future could lead.
4. Get personalised advice at the engineering advising hub
Advising hubs
- Building 11, Level 04
- 9:00am - 2:00pm
Sometimes the best questions are the ones you ask one-on-one.
Visit the Engineering Advising Hub to meet course directors, academics, degree alumni and current students who can provide tailored advice about majors, careers, double degrees, admissions pathways and student life.
This is your opportunity to get answers specific to your situation and hear directly from the people involved in delivering and studying engineering at UTS.
Top tip: Bring your questions about subjects, career opportunities and choosing between different engineering fields.
5. Step inside our labs, studios and innovation spaces
Faculty tours
- Building 11
- 9:00am - 2:00pm
Engineering at UTS is hands-on from day one, and Open Day offers a behind-the-scenes look at the facilities where ideas become reality.
Join a guided tour led by current students and technical experts to explore the laboratories, studios and collaborative spaces where students prototype, design, test and build real-world solutions.
From advanced manufacturing and 3D design to specialist engineering labs, you'll see how theory is transformed into practical experience.
6. Find your tribe
Student society and teams hub
- Building 11, Level 00 and Level 2 foyers
- 9:00am - 2:00pm
