Emergency counselling for Australians overseas

UTS partners with International SOS (ISOS) (opens an external site), a 24-hour emergency resource centre. Australian students overseas can contact ISOS for referral to emergency counselling.

The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade provides emergency services for Australians who are overseas, including access to Lifeline 24-hour phone counselling via the Consular Emergency Centre. Calls to the local Australian high commission, embassy, or consulate in various countries can also be transferred to Lifeline for the cost of a local call. Visit smartraveller.gov.au (opens an external site) for further information.

  • The Consular Emergency Centre: +61 2 6261 3305 (or 1300 555 135 within Australia)

Acknowledgement of Country

UTS acknowledges the Gadigal People of the Eora Nation and the Boorooberongal People of the Dharug Nation upon whose ancestral lands our campuses now stand. We would also like to pay respect to the Elders both past and present, acknowledging them as the traditional custodians of knowledge for these lands.
