These frequently asked questions are for students in the Bachelor of Creative Intelligence and Innovation course (BCII)

How does the BCII course program fit into my entire degree?

The first three years of BCII subjects have been designed to run in the July session and summer session only.

The fourth year subjects run in the normal autumn and spring session.

Please check the online handbook for more information on course structure.

Why it is important to follow the suggested programs?

It is very important for students to stay in the same year group as the networks that you have built in your study will benefit you for the rest of your life. Therefore, we strongly encourage students in these combined degrees to follow the suggested course program published on the online handbook.

Missing a subject or taking subjects out of sync may lead to late completion of your combined degree.

I want to undertake an exchange program in my combined BCII course. When is the best time to do it?

The best time for doing an exchange program if you’re a BCII student is in spring session of your second year. Just make sure you’re back in time for Creativity and Complexity (81514) in early February.

I have missed or am going to miss one subject that runs in July/Summer, what do I do now?

Either complete the subject at a later date (possibly in the next year) or find a potential replacement subject from

a list of approved replacements or undertake an international program through UTS Global Short Programs.

If neither of these work for you, contact TD School's Academic Programs Office for further options.

I could not enrol into a subject as the pre-requisites have not been completed

Lodge an eRequest requesting a requisite waiver.

Make sure you lodge your e-request before the last day to enrol (see principal dates).

Your eRequest will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.

What degrees can I pair BCII with?

You can pair the BCII with 27 core UTS degrees, and everything you learn in the BCII will add an extra dimension to your discipline-specific studies to give you a cutting-edge advantage in your future workplace.

For further information, see the Creative Intelligence and Innovation CANVAS page site.
