It’s not just a university, it’s leadership for a net-zero future
Net Zero Futures is a series designed for leaders and changemakers committed to shaping Australia’s sustainable, net-zero future.
Focusing on Country, Nature, Partnerships and Youth, the series brings together influential voices from government, industry, academia and community to explore the bold ideas, practical pathways and collaborative solutions driving climate action today.
Across keynote sessions, panels, workshops and curated networking opportunities, attendees will connect with business leaders, policy shapers, innovators, climate activists and emerging voices who are redefining what is possible.
Grounded in leading sustainability research and enriched by real world practice, Net Zero Futures places First Nations knowledges at the centre of the conversation.
There is no single path to net zero – but by exploring a spectrum of approaches, this series empowers attendees to deepen their expertise, build new partnerships and take tangible steps toward impact. Whether you are looking to connect across sectors, stay ahead of emerging climate frameworks, or contribute to the next wave of sustainable transformation, Net Zero Futures offers a dynamic space to learn, share and lead.
Join us as we imagine, and accelerate, a net-zero future together.

Australia is at a critical point in its net zero transition, where integrating nature into economic systems can unlock new pathways for emissions reduction, resilience, and long-term value creation. This event will also connect Australian leadership to global developments, including the Global Nature Positive Summit in Japan in July 2026.
Thursday 20 August 2026 – 10am
Country and Climate is a symposium addressing one of the most pressing questions facing Australia today: what future are we shaping, and who is guiding that direction? We invite you to join this symposium and be part of the conversation, and solutions, towards a net zero future.
