UTS Counselling Service has the flexibility to provide counselling sessions face-to-face, via phone and videoconferencing platform Zoom to UTS students.

Accessibility Service, Counselling Service, Financial Assistance Service, Health Service, Housing Service and Higher Education Language & Presentation Support (HELPS) are closed from Wednesday 24 December 2025 5:00 PM to Sunday 4 January 2026, inclusive. We will reopen on Monday 5 January 2026.
UTS Careers will be closed from Tuesday 23 December 2025 5:00 PM and will reopen Monday 5 January 2026.
UTS pathology services close from Wednesday 24 December 2025 and will reopen Monday 5 January 2026.
If you need urgent medical attention, please attend your nearest hospital casualty department.

UTS offers a confidential counselling service to help with a wide range of personal, psychological, study-related and administrative difficulties. If you have urgent situations after-hours, please use the emergency contacts list.
UTS Counselling is committed to inclusivity. We are here to support all UTS students. Counsellors have completed Indigenous Cultural Awareness Training and are part of the UTS Ally Network supporting gender, sex and sexuality diverse students.

If you are a UTS student or staff member experiencing sexual harm or gender-based violence (GBV), or are concerned about someone in our UTS community, please contact the UTS Sexual Harm Support Line on 1800 531 626 during office hours. The UTS Sexual Harm Support Line is staffed by professionally trained, trauma-informed safety caseworkers 9am-5pm, Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays). UTS Security will respond to calls on this number out of office hours.
UTS staff can contact our Employee Assistance Program (EAP) provider. NSW Rape Crisis is the 24/7 telephone and online crisis counselling service for anyone in NSW who has experienced or is at risk of sexual harm or GBV. They can be reached on 1800 424 017.
