International Onshore Contacts (IOC)

  • As part of your student visa requirements and in compliance with the Education Services for Overseas Students (ESOS) Act, you must notify UTS of your Australian contact details (residential address and phone number) within 7 days of arriving in Australia or after any changes.
  • Your exam results and academic records are withheld until you have provided a valid session address located in NSW and a valid Australian mobile number. If you are outside NSW, please email a valid reason to internationalstudent@uts.edu.au.

How to update your contact details

Update your contact details on My Student Admin. 

Important:

  • Do not add a new type of address or phone number to your student account if you already have a ‘Session’ address and ‘Mobile’ phone type listed. Instead, modify the existing details and click Save.
  • If an Australian address or phone number has been provided under categories other than ‘Session’ or ‘Mobile,’ it should be corrected to the appropriate address/phone type.
  • ‘Home’ address and phone types are only for offshore contact details. Australian addresses and phone numbers should not be listed under these categories.

Address

Provide and/or update the address information in the ‘Session’ address type using the following format: 

Address Line 1: Unit/Apartment Number/Street Number and Name of the Street (e.g., 15 Broadway) 
Suburb: Suburb or Locality (e.g., Ultimo) 
State: State or Territory (e.g., NSW) 
Postcode: (e.g., 2007) 
Country: Australia 

Phone

Provide and/or update your phone number in the ‘Mobile’ phone type using the format +61 4XX XXX XXX
