What you’ll study

You’ll commence your law studies with an array of core subjects, where you’ll develop insight into contracts, torts, justice, ethics and more. You’ll then have the chance to broaden your disciplinary knowledge through your choice of electives or to pursue a major in Legal Futures and Technology.

At the same time, your core Medical Science subjects will see you learn about biology, genetics, chemistry and anatomy. Specialise your knowledge to better meet your career goals with your choice of two majors, medical and health-related sciences or pathology.

Course highlights

This course is designed to equip you with an up-to-date knowledge of contemporary Law and hands-on skills in Medical Science. Graduates of this course meet the educational requirements to practise law in NSW or pursue a future in medicine, administration, academia, research and more. 

Industry accreditation

This course satisfies the academic requirements for admission to the Supreme Court of NSW as a lawyer. Once completed, you will also need to, complete a practical legal training program, such as the Graduate Certificate in Professional Legal Practice (available at UTS) to be eligible for admission as a lawyer.
