Read and listen to the Acknowledgement of Country in your language

Below you’ll find examples of Acknowledgements spoken in a range of languages. We invite you to use these as inspiration and to personalise your own Acknowledgement in a way that feels respectful, heartfelt, and culturally meaningful to you.

These templates are intentionally broad so you can adapt them to honour the specific Country you are on and the custodians of that land.

We also recognise that this list represents only some of the many languages spoken in our communities, and we acknowledge and honour the languages that are not yet included.

This is a living project

If your language is not yet included and you’re interested in sharing a recording, we’d love to hear from you.
