As the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, we engage with outside industry in order to offer many of our students the opportunity to participate in internships, work placements and other work integrated learning environments.
This value-add to the course provides not only variety and real-life training, but also allows for networking and career development even while studying.
We took the chance to chat to a couple of people about their experiences interning at large organisations tailored specifically to their courses.
Why pursue an internship through the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences?
I didn’t hesitate when I heard there was an opportunity to intern at Channel 9 as this was an amazing chance to gain industry experience and be exposed to the frameworks of News TV broadcasting.

What is the biggest learning you had coming out of the internship through UTS?
