Collaborative focus

Our research collaborations focus on artificial intelligence, machine learning, cybersecurity, the Internet of Things (IoT), video and character recognition, and blockchain technologies. Future opportunities include industry doctorates, internships, and expanded joint programs.

  • Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT Madras) 
    Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT Madras) is a premier institute of national importance and a global leader in engineering and technological research. UTS partners with IITM through a Joint Research Centre, fostering collaborative innovation and impactful research across key emerging areas. 
  • The Indian Statistical Institute (ISI) is a global leader in computer science, statistics, and quantitative economics. Our long-standing collaboration focuses on AI and data science. 

  • Indian Institute of Technology Patna (IIT Patna) 
    Partnering on joint research initiatives in digital transformation, AI, and advanced technology development. 

  • Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) 
     Recognised as an Institution of Eminence, VIT collaborates with UTS on teaching, learning, and research to drive innovation and academic excellence. 

  • Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham University 
     One of India’s fastest-growing multi-disciplinary universities, with 20,000+ students and 180+ international collaborations. Our partnership supports global research and student mobility. 

International pathway partnerships

  • International Centre for Applied Sciences (ICAS), Manipal Academy of Higher Education 
     Students complete the first two years of study in India before transferring to UTS FEIT to complete their degree. 

  • Kings Cornerstone International College (KCIC) 
     A Pearson-accredited partner in Chennai offering international qualifications that allow students to begin their degree locally and complete it at UTS in Sydney.
