Anchor Investment Fund

The STRIVE Values of The Anchor Fund

The Anchor Fund operates with a clear purpose and a strong commitment to excellence, collaboration, and ethical responsibility. As a student-managed fund, we are guided by our core values, represented by the acronym STRIVE. These values shape the fund’s operations and define its commitment to providing a rich educational experience for our students. With a focus on responsible decision-making, collaboration, and ethical practices, the Anchor Fund strives to empower our students with practical skills and real-world experiences in the field of finance. The STRIVE values listed below are more than guiding principles for The Anchor Fund. They serve as the foundation that ensures we create a supportive environment where students can thrive, gain valuable knowledge, and make a positive impact in the finance industry.

1. Stewardship: The Anchor Fund considers its role as caretakers of the assets entrusted to them a privilege and a responsibility. The team diligently manages the funds with foresight and attention to sustainable growth. They are committed to preserving and enhancing the fund’s capacity to support philanthropic activities. The Anchor Fund understands the decisions made today will shape the opportunities available to future cohorts.

2. Teamwork and Inter-team Collaboration: The Anchor Fund believes that the collective intelligence of its diverse team members significantly contributes to its success. The environment fosters open communication, mutual respect, and the exchange of ideas. Through this, they harness the collective knowledge of team members, enriching the decision-making process and driving better investment outcomes.

3. Risk Awareness: The financial industry presents a myriad of potential risks. The Anchor Fund takes an active approach to identifying, evaluating, and managing these risks. The fund embeds a risk-conscious culture in all its activities, ensuring the longevity and sustainability of the fund’s performance.

4. Intellectual Curiosity: Continuous learning and innovation are central to The Anchor Fund’s ethos. They encourage an intellectual curiosity that keeps them adaptable, progressive, and informed in a constantly evolving financial landscape. This commitment to learning ensures they remain at the forefront of finance industry trends, strategies, and practices.

5. Value Creation: At The Anchor Fund, value creation extends beyond financial returns. The fund seeks to create an enriching learning environment where students gain hands-on experience in fund management. Each decision made, and each strategy implemented, is focused on enhancing the fund's overall success and providing a valuable educational experience for students.

6. Ethical Responsibility: The Anchor Fund upholds the highest ethical standards in every aspect of its operations. They foster an environment of trust, honesty, and transparency, upholding their commitments to stakeholders and reinforcing the fund's credibility. This ethical compass guides their decision-making, investment practices, and interactions.
