Transport Research Centre ensures our researchers and resources are working together to deliver the best outcomes for our partners in industry and government. Find below some examples of our industry impact.

Part of Bulli railway construction using new ballast gradations (approx. 2km) and recycled aggregates stabilized by geogrids & geotexiles based on my new design standards, 2008.	Vacuum Preloading for marine clay consolidation - Port of Brisbane Reclamation site (approx. 230 ha) for which my expertise was used for performance evaluation, 2009.
Location of Port Kembla reclamation project (a) before the reclamation in 2011 and (b) after the reclamation in 2017	Port Kembla Outer Harbour reclamation (approx. 7 ha) using a blended industry waste matrix (slag and coalwash) developed in the SMART Marine Soils Lab in 2012.

Specially designed shock absorbing mats manufactured from recycled rubber placed on a Bridge Deck in Singleton to prevent track damage under increased axle loads of freight trains, October 2014 (this work earned the Thomas Telford Premium Award by the Institution of Civil Engineers, UK). 2-REAL (Recycled-Rubber Energy Absorbing Layer) infilled with waste aggregates for Heavy Haul Road in Ballina Floodplain, February 2013 (this work was a finalist at the Green Globe competition 2017).
Construction and Instrumentation of Permeable Reactive Barrier in Shoalhaven Floodplain in 2019 for validating the new Bio-Geo-chemical model developed for predicting the life cycle of PRB's limestone granular assembly by Indraratna et al. (2020).	Permeable Reactive Barrier in Shoalhaven Floodplain
