Vaccines are available at the UTS Health Service and most of them incur a fee. If you have private health insurance, you may be able to receive a partial rebate for the cost of the vaccine; please check with your health insurance company in regards to this. Depending on the vaccine, you may need more than one dose.
Nursing students can receive a discount on vaccines required for compliance. Please let our friendly reception team know when booking your appointment.

Can I get the COVID-19 vaccine as an international student?
Yes, you can. The Australian Government provides free COVID-19 vaccines to everyone living in Australia, regardless of their visa status.
I want to access my vaccination certificate or obtain proof I’ve been vaccinated but don’t have Medicare.
There are a number of ways you can get proof of your vaccinations and see other important health information.

- Visit Getting a My Health Record without a Medicare or DVA card on the digitalhealth.gov.au website
- Find out What types of proof they are on the Services Australia website
If you cannot get proof of your COVID-19 vaccination online, you can use your Individual Healthcare Identifier and:
- ask your vaccination provider to print a copy of your Immunisation History Statement for you
- call the Australian Immunisation Register to have an Immunisation History Statement sent in the post. It can take up to 14 days to arrive.
