Research degree students are enrolled according to Enrolment Periods and not semesters, as in the case of undergraduate or coursework students.
Enrolment Periods (EPs) are as follows:
1st EP: 1 January to 30 June
2nd EP: 1 July to 31 December
Research students remain continuously re-enrolled throughout the duration of their candidature. If you apply for a period of leave of absence, your will be automatically re-enrolled at the termination of your leave.
Therefore if you are not intending to commence study, you must inform the Faculty Research Office or apply for a further period of leave.
