UTS Biologics Innovation Facility
The UTS Biologics Innovation Facility is an ISO 9001:2015-certified, Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP)-like pilot biomanufacturing facility supporting researchers and industry partners to translate biopharmaceutical innovations from early development toward clinical manufacture.
BIF combines specialist expertise in bioprocessing, analytical development, quality systems and GMP-aligned training with cleanroom infrastructure and industrial biomanufacturing equipment in a single university-based facility.
Manufacturing
BIF supports pre-GMP process and analytical development, scale-up and pilot manufacturing across biologics and advanced biotechnology products, including antibodies, recombinant proteins, nucleic acids, extracellular vesicles and cell-based products.
For selected projects, BIF can help generate manufacturability and CMC-supporting data, including pre-GMP material for GLP toxicology and stability studies, to de-risk progression toward clinical manufacture.
Training
BIF delivers practical, industry-aligned training in GMP operations and bioprocessing for biomanufacturing.
Courses and tailored programs are available for students, researchers, industry professionals and organisations building GMP-ready capability.
Programs cover GMP operations, cleanroom practice, bioprocessing and QC analytics, delivered through online, VR/AR and hands-on formats.
