About us
The prevalence of chronic respiratory disease is on the increase. Inflammation drives pathogenesis and disease progression. But in many clinical situations we do not have effective treatments.
Thus, alternative anti-inflammatory strategies are urgently needed. Research in our lab focusses on understanding the mechanistic basis of inflammation in respiratory diseases such as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). This new knowledge will allow us to develop novel propose a novel anti-inflammatory strategies to treat this currently untreatable disease.
