Project: Developing a First Nations Regional Sustainable Intergenerational Community Masterplan.

Summary: The Intergenerational Indigenous Living project aims to create a sustainable, culturally vibrant community honouring Australia's First Nations and Marginalised peoples' traditions, values, and aspirations. At its core, the project establishes a passive housing community that provides shelter and nurturing for families and elders. This community integrates essential services such as a retail precinct, community health centre, schools with childcare facilities, seniors' living spaces, palliative care facilities, and community gathering centres. A central focus is empowering elders to lead culturally significant initiatives, reclaiming their rightful place as custodians and leaders. The project seeks to provide permanent housing, ensuring these elders' comfort, security, and dignity.

Project Title: Reforming and Transforming the Archives to support Indigenous Data Sovereignty & Self-Determination

Summary: The International Indigenous Data Sovereignty movement empowers Indigenous people to exercise rights of ownership and control over data to inform self-determined priorities and goals. This project examines Indigenous Data Sovereignty principles in an archival context to enable Indigenous people to better control historical data relating to their cultural heritage, histories and experiences. Traditional colonial archival approaches to collecting data disconnected Indigenous people from their cultural heritage materials and knowledges. In recognising the vital importance of the archives for truth-telling, justice-seeking and healing, this project will work with Indigenous community members and partner organisations, key libraries, archives and museums to consider Indigenous people’s holistic needs to reform and transform the archives.
