Pauline Clague

Pauline Clague

Pauline Clague is Associate Professor, Manager of Cultural Resilience Hub, Jumbunna Institute for Indigenous Education & Research at UTS and an advisor for the creative arts for Creative Plus Business and South Australian Film Corporations First Nations Advisor. A Yaegl woman from North Coast NSW she has worked as a storyteller and producer in film and TV for 25 years. She is founder and Artistic Director of Winda Film Festival in Sydney, has been a programmer for imagineNATIVE media +arts festival in Toronto, Canada and co-creator of NativeSlam a 72 hour Indigenous film challenge held at Maoriland Film Festival in Otaki, New Zealand. Her work in communities has centred around teaching Digital Storytelling as a platform for community to keep oral history active utilising new technologies. While working at NITV she created the landmark series Our Stories, Our Way, Everyday which in 3 years delivered around 380 short documentaries from around the country , winning her the Stanley Hawes award in 2015 for her contribution to Australian Documentaries and the Natalie Miller Fellow in 2020. Industry Associate Professor Pauline Clague leads the Cultural Resilience Hub bringing together experts from a broad cross-section of academic disciplines. The team’s research aims to promote, support and embody the exercise and recognition of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Sovereignty and Self-Determination through a variety of mediums.

Ashley Little

Ashley Little

Ashley is Wiradjuri Woman, who enjoy working in the Community and the Aboriginal Arts industries. She started her career in the Arts in 2015 Managing the Blak Markets which hosted between 20 – 30 NSW based Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Artists selling their wares. 2018 she went on to coordinate the National Indigenous Art Fair which brought over 20 Remote Artists and Art Centre to Sydney. She has always been passionate about her Culture and providing a space for First Nations people to showcase their talent, whether if been through Art, Song or Dance.

Acknowledgement of Country

UTS acknowledges the Gadigal people, the Boorooberongal people of the Dharug Nation, the Bidiagal people and the Gamaygal people upon whose ancestral lands our university stands.
