Abstract blue and white light pattern on black background

UTS:QSI is the largest non-corporate quantum software initiative in Australia. We are a destination for foundational research in quantum information science and the applications of quantum technologies.

UTS:QSI has attracted over $95M in major partnerships in the past six years with the view of expanding Australia's quantum software development.

  • DARPA Quantum Benchmarking Program

Developing benchmarks to measure the value of future quantum information systems.

Glowing blue polygonal globe hologram on dark backdrop.
  • AUSMURI Projects

Understanding the potential of quantum technologies and creating prototype systems for practical application to Defence problems.

    Blue atomic structure in space
  • Google Digital Future Initiative

Exploring the fundamentals of quantum computing with the view of progress towards scalable quantum computing.

Abstract tech background made of printed circuit board. Depth of field effect. internet connections, cloud computing and neural network, big data.
  • Defence Acquisition Optimisation Using Quantum Algorithms

Using quantum algorithms to provide a speed up over classical algorithms for the quadratic knapsack problem (QKP).

Spherical shape glowing blue with code on dark background
  • ARC Grants

QSI has a high ARC Grant success rate, including 7 Future Fellows, 4 DECRAs, and 10 Discovery Projects.

Glowing path winding around the corner of a virtual wall of code.
  • Post-Quantum Cryptography

Advanced post-quantum cryptographic constructions from group actions.

Light bulb graphic design containing images of circuits and mechanical apparatus. There is a graphic of clouds overlayed on the lightbulb around the middle zone and in the background. The background is black and there is a spotlight illuminating the globe from below. The source of light is not coming from the lightbulb itself, ironically.
  • Formal verification of quantum logic circuits

Developing comprehensive theory and techniques for formal modelling, equivalence checking, and model checking of quantum circuits.
