Distinguished Professor Jon Adams, Co-Director

Professor Adams is Distinguished Professor of Public Health and Deputy Head (Research) of the School of Public Health, UTS. Jon’s pioneering research has drawn upon a public health and health services research perspective to expand conceptualisation and empirical investigation of a wide range of health system, service and practice issues around TCIM. Jon’s  work includes introduction and development of practice-based research networks (PBRNs) in TCIM, exploration of the challenges and opportunities around health information-seeking, decision-making, communication and (non)disclosure as well as significantly contributing to research in healthy ageing, women’s health, chronic illness and the health of vulnerable and priority populations.

Associate Professor Amie Steel, Co-Director

Associate Professor Steel’s extensive research focus and expertise includes examination of women’s health issues through the life-cycle, the introduction and development of practice-based research networks (PBRNs) in TCIM, and the practitioner-researcher interface. Amie is Co-Lead of the ARCCIM TCIM Use Research Stream and the ARCCIM PBRN Research Stream
