- Source environmentally and socially responsible products, equipment and services
- Assess the sustainability of suppliers
- Work collaboratively with suppliers to source greener products
- Consider whole-of-life impacts.

What you can do
- Choose green stationery products such as items that avoid plastic, contain recycled content, are non-toxic, etc. On campus the ActivateUTS stationery outlets have a wide range.
- When catering look for local, organic and/or Fairtrade choices. Consider carbon miles and ethical sourcing, Mostly plant-based foods if possible.
- Avoid plastic and styrofoam packaging for take-away food and drinks.
- Look for eco-labels such as Good Environmental Choice Australia.
- Hire or choose pre-loved text books – save money, trees, and help reduce waste
- Consider borrowing, renting or sharing items you only need occasionally.
