Engage with events and initiatives
At UTS, collaborating with industry is a key part of what we do. We know that organisations become more dynamic by engaging with university students. We’re working to shape a generation of students who are prepared for a vastly different future workforce.
However you’re looking to engage with us, UTS has students who are ready for the challenge. Our offerings provide a great way for you to promote your organisation, recruit our students and share your expertise to support and develop UTS students.
Check out the UTS Careers Industry Guide, which has all the information you need to engage with and recruit UTS students.
2025 Graduate and Internship Careers Fair
Join us at the UTS Graduate and Internship Careers Fair to connect with our talented and innovative students studying Business, Science, Engineering, Construction Management, Property Economics and IT. Come along to meet future hires who are ready to bring fresh perspectives and skills to your organisation. Bring along your recent grads- our students love hearing their insights into your organisation, as they provide a relatable and genuine perspective on what it's like to work at your organisation.
Industry panels
Throughout the year, we ask alumni and professionals to share their career journey with our UTS students, providing insights and tips on breaking into the industry, sharing career experiences and giving students a glimpse into real-world projects. An opportunity for a short Q&A session generally follows the panel, allowing students to ask any questions they may have.
Lunch and Learn – skill development workshops
Teach our students a skill they may later bring to your organisation, while also promoting your organisation on campus. These workshops give our students a chance to build on and further develop their employability skills and also provide you with an opportunity to give back to the UTS student community.
CareerHub
At UTS, we use CareerHub to advertise roles to our students. UTS CareerHub works to streamline student recruitment across the university to make the hiring process as easy as possible for you and our students.
It’s free to advertise your opportunities on UTS CareerHub.
You can also promote webinars, competitions and other opportunities to our community of over 47,000 current students and recent graduates on CareerHub. With thousands of students logging into CareerHub every week, this is the number one place to connect with the UTS community.
Employer Meet and Greet Session
Hosting an Employer Meet and Greet session throughout the academic year can help you forge ongoing relationships with students and potential candidates. These sessions are a great way to raise brand awareness with students.
Sessions can be held online or on campus.
Timing is an essential element of planning a successful event. To encourage attendance, aim for a time of year when students are most engaged (March-May and July-October).
Targeted email out
Sending a targeted email is an effective way to directly engage and connect with a discipline specific cohort of UTS students. This service allows you to narrow down our student population, by area and level of study, so your information is distributed to the most relevant and interested students.
On the request form you will have the option to select your preferred cohort/s of students. Please be specific to ensure your message reaches the right audience.
For example: first and second year undergraduate students majoring in civil engineering.
We recommend using the targeted email service to promote opportunities and initiatives to specific cohorts. For larger cohorts we suggest you advertise your opportunity free of charge on CareerHub and engage with our events and initiatives throughout the year.
Mentoring Opportunities
Support the leaders of tomorrow, today. There are several ways that you or your colleagues can assist students in a mentoring capacity. By becoming a mentor, you’ll have the opportunity to develop your own leadership skills, while giving back to students who are excited to work in your field.
Your experience and insight will help guide these students towards career success and guide the future of your industry.
