UTS-ISF was out in force at OzWater 2026, with Dr Andrea Turner, A/Prof Simon Fane, Dr Yohan Kim and Associate Director Research Melita Grant joining water professionals from across the country.

Simon helped lead the conversation as co-chair of the AWA Efficiency Specialist Network, speaking on the panel “Water efficiency in Australia – what’s next?” and co-facilitating a workshop on best-practice tools to influence customer demand.

Andrea showcased the non-residential benchmarking tool NR WEB, which drew strong interest from attendees, while Yohan presented a technical poster exploring the water efficiency benefits of evaporative air conditioning upgrades.

Beyond presenting, the team valued the chance to reconnect with colleagues and build new partnerships.

As Simon Fane reflected:

Ozwater continues to be the premier annual conference for the Australian water industry and ISF was once again well represented. We presented research on non-residential water use, water efficiency and evaporative cooling, and facilitated industry discussions on best practice tools and next steps.
