Successful leaders will need to think differently to identify and apply solutions to complex problems – problems that often don’t even exist yet.

The UTS Business School has responded to the changes and opportunities in business and has developed exciting new postgraduate programs commencing in 2020.

Master of Business Analytics

The Master of Business Analytics is a unique transdisciplinary program of study in business analytics. With subjects drawn from UTS Business School, the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology and the Faculty of Transdisciplinary Innovation, students are provided with a course structure that fits their background and experience, as well as flexible specialisations to meet new needs and career interests. The course is delivered in blended mode, combining contemporary online and face-to-face learning experiences in UTS’s leading-edge facilities.

This course has been developed in consultation with industry in response to major global shortages in people with analytics skills, including a predicted shortfall of over 180,000 people with deep analytical skills and five times that number of data management and interpretation skills.

Graduate Certificate in Behavioural Economics

The Graduate Certificate in Behavioural Economics provides a thorough understanding of the basic principles of Behavioural Economics, heuristics and biases in individual decision making and their implications in strategic interactions. Students are given the opportunity to apply Behavioural Economics concepts in different decision-making environments including financial decision making, health, education, and environment.

This course introduces students to a rapidly expanding field of Behavioural Economics by providing a foundation in Standard Economic Theory and by building the Behavioural Models on this foundation. This gives students a solid understanding of Behavioural Economics by combining the Economic Theory and psychological insights. This understanding allows them to analyse a wide range of situations and behaviours in different decision-making environments.
