Meet Daniel, one of our Master of Pharmacy (International) students who is working at Bayer in Germany on a 12-month clinical placement. You can also apply for an international placement as part of the Master of Orthoptics. Where in the world will your studies take you?

Daniel: Hi, my name's Daniel and I am doing the master's of pharmacy international program at the University of Technology Sydney, and part of this master's program allows me to do a one-year internship overseas, which I am lucky enough to be undertaking at Bayer at their global office in Berlin. I work as part of the cardiovascular therapeutic area, specifically in the Xarelto brand management team, and my supervisor Zolvay Nazit is responsible for pharmacists communication within this team.
As part of her team, I've been able to be involved in my own project, attend many conferences, and really just be exposed to industry as a whole and understand what role they play in healthcare, and what role they can play in supporting pharmacists and projects that they're undertaking in various countries around the world. So, a real eye-opening and phenomenal experience, really. And to live in Berlin, of course, it's a young, it's a vibrant city, it's diverse, there's so much to do and so much to see. It's just been a great opportunity all around, being able to work with Bayer in Berlin.
