We recognise the possibilities of education as lifelong and life-wide; both in and out of formal educational settings and we offer courses that recognise the diverse places and spaces that educators work.
What do we teach?
Undergraduate or postgraduate? New to education or an experienced practitioner? Our courses cover the spectrum of careers and research opportunities in this field. We offer qualifications in teaching, applied linguistics, TESOL, learning and leadership and higher degree research, from Bachelor-level courses through to Graduate Certificates, Graduate Diplomas, Master’s, PhD and professional doctorates.
How do you learn?
At UTS Education we put you in the driver’s seat. You’ll build the theoretical and practical expertise you need to succeed and to open the doors to a wealth of academic and industry networks that will prepare you for your future career in education. As for our teaching courses, if you study with us, we’ll have you front and centre in the classroom from the start of your degree.
Our course content has been built with significant industry input and is informed by our highly focused research that shapes teaching and learning practices around the world.
Our industry linkages will also serve you well — whether it’s professional placements, guest lectures or industry-led projects. We’ll open the door to new networks that could launch your future career.
An immersive environment
Second to none — that’s how we describe our purpose-built facilities in the School of Education. From customised science, music, dance and visual arts teaching environments to informal study areas and dedicated research hubs, all our spaces are designed to shape your education practice. And we’re just one part of UTS’s world-leading campus — step beyond our building and you’ll find yourself on a vibrant, interconnected, technology-driven campus in the heart of Sydney. You’ll also be walking distance to the best that the city has to offer. We’ve got public transport networks and key services right on our doorstep too.
We believe that a global perspective is always a good thing. You'll be in multilingual and multicultural classrooms.
We’ll also support you to pair your undergraduate education degree with a range of international experiences — think global exchange, international teaching placements, short-term volunteer experiences or a combined International studies degree. It’s not just a question of where you can take your education degree — where can your education degree take you?
