Overview
This prize was established in 1991 to award the best Honours project in the field of Materials Science.
Who is eligible?
• The Recipient must graduate from the Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Physics in the year for which the award is made.
• The Recipient’s Honours project must be in the field of Materials Science.
Selection process
• The highest mark awarded for a project in the field of Materials Science in the final research subjects in the Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Physics
• In the event that two or more eligible students have the same highest aggregate mark, the following criteria will be considered:
o Performance in the Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Physics outside of formal assessment that demonstrates mastery of and engagement in the subjects;
o Overall academic performance in the student’s award course, whether the student has failed other subjects, received academic cautions or had a finding of misconduct made against them.
