Overview
To recognise the best performing student in the course C04251 Master of Intellectual Property. Please read the Conditions of Award for full details of the Prize.
Who is eligible?
The Recipient must be enrolled in a UTS award course and receive a result in the course C04251 Master of Intellectual Property in the academic year for which the prize is being awarded.
Selection process
- The prize will be awarded to the student with the highest Weighted Average Mark (WAM) in course C04251 Master of Intellectual Property in the relevant academic year.
- In the event that two or more eligible students have the same highest mark (WAM), the following criteria will be considered:
- Performance in subject 77905 Preparing for Intellectual Property Practice

Other information
- The student with the highest final mark will be identified by the Faculty of Law, according to the eligibility and recipient selection criteria as provided in clauses 4 and 5;
- In the event that two or more eligible students have the same highest final mark (WAM), a selection committee of a minimum of three (3) people, chaired by the Dean, Faculty of Law (or nominee) will select a Recipient based on the specified selection criteria in clause 5;
- The proposed Recipient will then be formally approved or declined by the Dean, Faculty of Law (or nominee) based upon the selection criteria in clauses 5 and 7.
