We're number one... again!
Well, we did it…again. For the fifth year in a row, the University of Technology Sydney has been named Australia’s number one young university, according to the Times Higher Education rankings, meaning that our teaching, research and industry work continues to put us ahead of the rest.
UTS has also climbed three places in the worldwide rankings, placing us 13th among the world’s young unis. Not bad for a uni that’s 30 years young.
In the last six years alone, we’ve skyrocketed 60 places up the list; that means that your UTS education is getting more and more valuable, competitive and, quite frankly, downright awesome.
The THE Young University rankings recognise that unis 50 years and younger have a different mission than the older institutions. We’re constantly growing and adapting to the changes that the 21st century throws our way, always thinking about the future while acknowledging the past.
So while the old folks (read: the older institutions) may think we’re just wasting time with our newfangled technology and our Snapchats, we’re actually on the grind, constantly improving and working hard to get results.
UTS is very millennial in that way.
