Note: From 1 July 2019 to 31 July 2019, the UTS 2020 Undergraduate and Postgraduate international course guides published on the Brochure downloads page of this website displayed fees for 2019 rather than 2020. The correct fees for 2020 were set out in the back of the guides in the Course Summary Tables. This error has now been rectified and the course guides show the correct fees. All students commencing in 2020 will be charged the 2020 fees.
International students, with the exception of study abroad and exchange students, are charged a load-based tuition fee. This means you are charged a fee for each subject you enrol in, including repeated subjects.
Tuition fees must be paid in advance for each teaching period.
As stated in your offer letter, your tuition fees will be subject to an increase each calendar year.
International students must also pay the Student Services and Amenities Fee.

Tuition fee calculations for Postgraduate Research degrees
Tuition fees for postgraduate research degrees are charged on a pro-rata basis, based on the number of days that you are enrolled in each research degree session and whether you are enrolled after the research census date.
Research degree sessions are as follows:
- Autumn - 1 January to 30 June
- Spring - 1 July to 31 December
Please note: Tuition fees will be calculated as the number of days of candidature/number of days in research degree session x 0.5 annual tuition fee rate. This daily rate calculation applies only up until the research census date. After the research census date the full session tuition fee applies for the remainder of that session.
