Academic liaison officers

The Faculty of Health Academic Liaison Officers are:

Academic Liaison Officers (ALO) are responsible for assisting students with a chronic health condition and negotiate, if necessary, reasonable adjustments to learning and assessment tasks with subject lecturers. Students with a chronic health condition include students who:

  • have a disability or ongoing illness
  • have significant primary carer responsibilities or are pregnant

Accessibility Service application

If you have a disability or ongoing illness, you are encouraged to see the Accessibility Service before you consult with the ALO. An appointment can be made with the Accessibility Service by phoning +61 2 9514 1177.

Please note that the ALO does not manage special consideration. Special Consideration is a different process and requires a different application form.

Clinical Practice Unit

The Clinical Practice Unit (CPU) is responsible for organising the placements, liaising with the hospitals and facilitators and coordinating the clinical processes.

Your subject coordinator and facilitators will be responsible for your clinical experience once you are out on clinical and will be available to ensure your clinical experience is valuable and rewarding.
