Exploring GESI Change qualKit

ISF helped develop an online resource to help the WASH sector track their progress in figuring gender and inclusion into their work.

ISF and Water for Women worked together to produce ‘qualKit’, a curated set of qualitative monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL) tools designed for gender equality and social inclusion programs. It focuses on remote applications during travel restricted times.

Developed in the context of the COVID19 pandemic and the need to manage project MEL remotely, the qualKit has been designed by and for practitioners and researchers to enable exploration of multi-dimensional GESI related changes, but is a high-quality resource that can be used widely across other sectors.

This resource will support teams to bring the voices of change agents to life in mobility-restricted times. The qualKit draws on the experience of Water for Women CSO partners and the expertise of research partners, including the doctoral work of ISF researcher Jess Macarthur. It is designed to equip practitioners at all levels with the tools, techniques, and resources to undertake remote MEL and bring the voices of women and the marginalised to the centre of WASH programming.
