UTS BUILD (Beyond UTS International Leadership Development) is an extra-curricular global leadership program preparing you to become global leaders and active global citizens.
The program is designed with our values in mind - Leadership, Global Citizenship, Empowerment, Intercultural Competency, Diversity and Inclusion and Social and Environmental Sustainability.

Enabling students to leverage their potential to deliver positive influence in a complex world, by equipping them with the skillset and qualities that underpin effective leadership, such as self-awareness, empathy, integrity, respect, resilience, critical thinking, decision-making, collaboration, and communication.
GLOBAL CITIZENSHIP
Fostering students' comprehension of global connectedness and the associated responsibility to make meaningful contributions towards the collective good of people and planet.

Program Summary
We have many opportunities that help you explore global issues, develop a global mindset, and build the professional skills you need for a truly international career that delivers positive social impact in the world.
You can curate your program experience by joining interactive workshops, learn from inspiring speakers about global issues and ideas, participate in experiential activities, explore endorsed online courses that support your understanding of important global issues, such as the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
You can also add one or more global immersive experiences such as a six-month Global Exchange or 2 to 6 week Global Short Program
You’ll collect points with each endorsed activity and once you’ve collected 100 points, you can complete the BUILD program. Your special achievement will be mentioned on your Australian Higher Education Graduation Statement (AHEGS) when you graduate from UTS. You will also attend a Completion Celebration and be presented with your BUILD Completion Certificate.

The program is free and open to all UTS students from any academic discipline regardless of whether you are an undergraduate or postgraduate, international or domestic student.
