Exam provisions are applied to the following:

  • quizzes, tests, online and computer based exams, timed assessment supervised and unsupervised.
  • Take home exams scheduled for less than 48 hours.
  • Practical exams / timed assessments such as Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE), lab, simulation. An improved process to specify separate exam provisions for these types of exams is in progress. Students in consultation with their Accessibility Consultant currently identify the exam provisions applicable to practical exams which are most commonly extra time and breaks.

Exam provisions are not applied to take home exams scheduled for 48 hours duration or longer. Extended time can be requested using the extension request process.
