Professor Sara Denize
Dean
Sara is experienced academic leader with expertise in business education, curriculum innovation, academic governance and quality assurance. An award-winning educator and respected scholar, she also serves on the boards of UTS College and Open Doors Australia and New Zealand, contributing to strategic governance and mission-driven leadership.
Associate Professor Robyn Johns
Deputy Dean
A respected academic leader with expertise in human resource management and the future of work, her leadership combines evidence-based research with practical industry experience to support staff development, organisational capability and strategic growth. Robyn is committed to fostering an inclusive, high-performing environment that enables individuals and the Business School to thrive.
Associate Professor Katie Schlenker
Associate Dean, Education and Students
With expertise in event impacts, evaluation and industry engagement, Katie combines research-informed teaching with strong professional relevance. She has played a key role in curriculum development, accreditation and teaching quality initiatives with a focus on enhancing student experience and continuous improvement across programs.
Professor Isa Hafalir
Associate Dean, Research
A globally recognised economist, Isa's research has attracted funding from organisations including the Australian Research Council, US National Science Foundation, Google Research and Food Agility CRC. He also serves on the editorial boards of leading economics journals, reflecting his international standing in the field.
Professor Nareen Young
Associate Dean, Indigenous Leadership and Engagment
With a career spanning academia, government, industry and advocacy, Nareen has shaped diversity policy and practice across Australia and serves on numerous corporate and community boards. Her contributions have been widely recognised, including being named the inaugural AFR 100 Women of Influence winner in Diversity, reflecting her significant impact on workplace equity and social change.
Debbie Delbridge
Faculty General Manager
Debbie has more than 15 years of senior leadership experience in higher education, with expertise spanning strategic planning, financial management, workforce planning, organisational transformation and operational leadership. She is recognised for her collaborative, values-led approach and commitment to building high-performing, inclusive teams. Debbie is passionate about advancing innovation, societal impact and industry engagement.
Associate Professor Marco Navone
Head of School (Accounting and Finance)
Marco is a finance academic at UTS with international experience spanning Australia, Italy and the United States. His research focuses on mutual funds and corporate finance, with publications in leading international finance journals. Marco brings extensive expertise in teaching, executive education and industry engagement.
Associate Professor Daniela Spanjaard
Head of School (Economics and Marketing)
Daniela brings extensive industry experience in market research, consumer insights and brand strategy, which informs her research, teaching and curriculum innovation at UTS. She is recognised for her leadership in enhancing student learning, employability and experiential education, while bridging academic theory and industry practice through consumer ethnographic research. Daniela also serves on the editorial boards of leading international journals in marketing education and qualitative research.
Professor Bronwen Dalton
Head of School (Management)
An internationally recognised researcher and social advocate, Bronwen's work focuses on the not-for-profit sector, social enterprise, volunteering and civil society with additional expertise in Korean studies and North Korea. In recognition of her significant contributions to social justice, charitable organisations, and academia, she was awarded a Member of the Order of Australia (AM) in the 2025 King's Birthday Honours.
