How to manage risk
The risk management process consists of the following steps:
- Step 1. Identify the hazards
- Step 2. Assess risk presented by hazards
- Step 3. Controlling the risk
- Step 4. Monitoring controls to make sure they are working
Steps 1 to 3, identifying, assessing and controlling risks must be done in consultation with staff.
Use the Online Risk Register (UTS-internal access only) to develop and record risk assessments.
Alternatively, the following templates are available:
