The Biostatistics, Epidemiology and Data Science hub will collaborate with researchers, assisting with study design and analysis for health research.

The Biostatistics, Epidemiology and Data Science hub (BEDS) will provide expert services in:

  • statistical support for PhD students;
  • statistical support for clinical trials and digital health initiatives at UTS;
  • consultation services at the planning, ethics application, implementation, analysis and write-up stages of research projects; 
  • a professional development program of regular workshops for students and staff; 
  • expert advice on statistical aspects of grant writing, including sample size calculations and statistical analysis plans; 
  • a centralised hub for biostatisticians, epidemiologists and health data scientists  – in the Faculties of Health, Science and Engineering and IT –  to engage in sharing best practice and professional development.
